From Agadir airport to Sidi Ifni in two steps
Agadir Al Massira airport (AGA) is the usual gateway for Sidi Ifni. The road distance is about 150 km, which is roughly 2Β½ hours of pure driving. Most travelers without a car do it in two steps: the Aerobus from the airport to Agadir, then a coach down the coast.
Sidi Ifni lies in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun, about 50 km from Guelmim. If you plan day trips from Agadir instead, have a look at the Agadir tours to Legzira, Tiznit and the south. They run as day trips and do not always include Sidi Ifni itself.

Step one: the Aerobus from the airport
The Aerobus links the airport with the VallΓ©e des Oiseaux stop in Agadir in about 50 minutes. An adult single costs MAD 50 and a return MAD 80 per person (2026). You can buy tickets on the bus or at the airport counter. This is the connection to Agadir, so plan the next leg from there. For a night in town, see Agadir airport and the notes on where to stay in Agadir.
On weekdays the timetable lists departures from the airport at 00:00, 01:00 and 05:00, then every hour from 07:00 to 23:00. Saturday has a different table with a later end, and Sunday has its own. Do not count on an hourly service around the clock.

Step two: coach, grand taxi or car to Sidi Ifni
Three ways to cover the last 150 km or so.
CTM coach from Agadir
The coach takes about 3 h 55. There is an evening departure at 18:15 with arrival around 22:10, and on some dates an extra departure at 10:00. Fares run from β¬11 to β¬16, or MAD 99 plus MAD 5 per large piece of luggage. Check the current CTM timetable and fare before you plan your day, and do not count on a late connection.
Grand taxi and other coaches
Grand taxis wait at the airport exit. Other coach companies also serve some routes, and Supratours is one of them. Ask for the price before you set off, and ask whether the driver will take you the whole way to Sidi Ifni.
Rental car
The route follows the N1 to Tiznit, which is 85 to 95 km from Agadir and takes between 1 h 20 and just under 2 hours. From Tiznit you take the coast road through Mirleft to Sidi Ifni. Legzira lies about 10 km north of Sidi Ifni, right on the way. Some stretches are narrow and some have damaged surfaces.
Driving the coast road
France advises against driving at night in Morocco and points out narrow national roads, dense traffic and unpredictable driving (advice dated September 2026). Plan to arrive in daylight, and leave remote tracks along the coast for people who know them. Do not treat a shortcut on a dirt track as a normal route.
If you drive, stop at Legzira and Mirleft on the way. Check the tide table before you walk along the cliffs at Legzira, because the way back can be cut off at high water.

Money, travel advice and arrival
What to organize before you leave Agadir.
Cash
The currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD). Small hotels, shops and remote areas can be cash only. You can usually withdraw cash with a credit card at marked ATMs, while debit card use depends on your bank contract. Take enough cash from Agadir for the first days.
Travel advice
The German Foreign Office currently advises strongly against travel to Western Sahara and the Algerian border region and mentions terrorism risk and theft. The US advisory for Morocco is Level 2, exercise increased caution (4 September 2026). Both are national notices, not warnings aimed at Sidi Ifni specifically. Keep your distance from stray dogs, especially groups.
After you arrive
Once you are in town, see the hotels page for where to sleep, and the weather page for the coastal fog and the seasons. The surf page covers lessons in Sidi Ifni and Mirleft.
