Morocco weather on the Sidi Ifni coast
Morocco weather changes a lot between the Atlantic coast and the interior, so a country-wide forecast says little about Sidi Ifni. On this coast the useful questions are how warm and wet each month is, how often mist sits on the shore, and what the sea does. The sea decides more than the air for surf, for Legzira and for swimming.
The monthly figures below come from the Agadir-Inezganne station, not from Sidi Ifni. They give an order of magnitude for the southern Atlantic coast and are averages for 1991 to 2020, not a forecast for your dates. If you plan to book a day out, compare the current Agadir tours for the season you travel in.

Coastal mist on the Sidi Ifni coast
Mist can settle on the coast around Mirleft and Sidi Ifni. It is sometimes dense and cuts visibility. Do not read a fixed pattern into it, because there is no reliable list of misty months. Treat it as a possibility in any season and keep a flexible plan for photos, viewpoints and drives.
Mist matters most for two things. Viewpoints over the coast can disappear for a few hours, and driving on narrow coastal stretches is slower. If you drive, France advises against night driving in Morocco (September 2026), and mist is one more reason to be at your hotel before dark.

Best time to visit Sidi Ifni by activity
There is no single best season. It depends on what you came for.
Surf
Surfing runs all year. Swells are usually bigger in autumn and winter and often smaller in spring and summer. Beginners tend to want the smaller conditions, while advanced surfers exploring spots often choose September to June. Wind also matters a lot at Mirleft and Aglou.
Surf spots →Beach days and swimming
Air temperature is not sea temperature, so do not read the table as water temperature. Swimming depends on guarded areas, waves and currents in every season, so read the beach safety rules before you go in.
Beaches and swimming →Legzira
The tides matter in every season. At the foot of the cliffs the beach can be impassable at high water, and the way back can be cut off. Check the tide for your day and ask locally.
Legzira beach →Rain and short stays
If you want to avoid the wettest months, look at May to September. From November to March, plan indoor options and allow for a rainy day.
Getting there →What the numbers do not tell you
The table describes Agadir, roughly the same Atlantic coast but a different town. It does not give you local mist days, sea temperatures or guaranteed sunny days for Sidi Ifni, and it is not a forecast for 2026. For the weather in Agadir itself, see Agadir weather by month.
Pack for a range: a light layer for mornings and evenings, and sun protection for midday. Check a short-range forecast a few days before you travel and again the evening before a long drive.
